FWIW..
I'd stay away from any 3rd party warranty out there.
I once had a Warrantly Gold policy for my previous vehicle which ended up covering about $10k in repairs. It more than paid for itself of course.
Come to find out, Warranty Gold's insurance administrator went bankrupt near the end of my term. I did end up having to pay $2k out of pocket for a tranmission overhaul which I was not happy about.
But I didn't feel so bad since the warranty more than paid for itself earlier on.
But either way, it was the people who had jumped aboard the band wagon with Warranty Gold that ended up getting shelled the most.
Some were able to recover their losses through credit card companies if they paid for the policy that way. Many others were forced to pay out of pocket for repairs and wait for reimbursement supposedly until the court cases were settled.
After that experience, I'll gladly spend the extra $$ for a factory backed warranty anyday..
