I have to agree with the others. I've been driving Saabs since 1983 and the 9-5 is a great car... would buy one again as long as it has Saab quality fit and finish, which seems higher than the average for the money.

So...

1. Yes!

2. Kind of a tough one to answer tho the general concensus is that the guts of the car may well be the same as 2004. Never buy a first year retooled car and I believe the *new* 9-5 will be rolling out in 2007? IMHO styling tweaks wouldn't affect my looking at one if I were you. Do you like the current styling? You may still find an '04, tho probably not an Aero. If you've read the posts carefully you'll know about the DI, throttle body and brake rotor concerns. No car is perfect, of course, but the 9-5 is pretty close.

3. Generally, yes! Very comfortable. I take 600 mile roundtrips up to the Sierra and feel very little fatigue after a five hour drive (but I get out and stretch too). My ventilated seats have held up very well and are supportive, but long-term comfort will depend on your specific body type. My 20+ years experience with Saab seats is that they get a lot of compliments comfort wise.

4. No bad vibes so far (15K). I drive a manual.

5. As mentioned, not offered by Saab... aftermarket tinting = sharp! I miss the light bronze factory tinting my '84 C900 has.

Good luck, let us know how it goes!
