...andf would do it again if it evaporated overnite in the garage.
Wife drives a '98 Maxima, so I can compare and contrast...
Firstly, the 4 cylinder has no noticeable vibration. You will never know it's a 4-banger.
Having a turbo means it scoots around without all the engine working hard, which is noticeable in the Maxima or other non-Turbo's engines, it seems to me. I mean, it's kinda neat to zip around someone without signalling your intent by gunning it...when others try that to me, I can hear 'em coming a mile away. So the turbo allows it to move fast in much more of a stealth mode.
The styling and lack of prevalence on the road gives it a distinction, but also reduces the risk of youir clients passing judgement on YOU for having yet another beemer (sigh) or Lexus.
The ride is quite nice on long trips (LA to SFO a couple of times this past summer), even tho' we have non-vent'd seats. The only negative is that it takes long-amplitude dips on the highway a bit less smoothly than the Maxima; it seems to be a bit more skittish at 75mph when encountering those long undulations...nothing that bothers me, just something I noticed.
So...buy one and IMMEDIATELY replace the brakes (I chose Satisfieds and wrote about my experience with SWEDECAR in an earlier thread), as the brake dust is really a detractor to the overall visual of the car. Also, the left side view mirror is not wide-angled enough, and some of the supporters on this site offer the same wide-angle mirror that comes on the right side for the left ($180, or so). That's next on the list for me.
BTW, I don't think you need the Aero, but that's a very personal choice...8^)
