Well, I'll risk of looking stupid, if it helps someone else.
Drove over 15 miles this morning on a flat rear tire. I hadn't left the addition, and something didn't sound right, thought that it might have been a few tubs I had thrown in the back of the SW. Going down the road, didn't feel right, but didn't seem like a flat tire. Got on Interstate, and had some vibration, but smoothed right out around 70 mph. Thankfully, road currently under construction and involved several stoppages, I doubt that I would have made it the whole way at 70+ mph. There was also some misting and light rain, probably contributed to not loosing tire.
I removed tire using SAAB jack and tire wrench. Worked fine, but I was on level, asphalt parking lot. When I picked up tire to drive to tire shop, realized that sidewall felt spongy, and shop confirmed sidewall shot. Thankfully, probably only had 3-5k miles left, was going to put on winter tires in a few months. No damage to rim.
So, those 225/45-17 Michelin Primacy's sure have a short, stiff sidewall, and if something doesn't feel right, but you're thinking "that doesn't feel like a flat", you better check anyway.

p.s.
I have a few months before need to replace. If someone needs some Primacy's with few thousand miles left, I'll be pitching them when replacing.
