Hey everyone,

My 1988 900 SPG has been having some problems lately... First it has been running rough, hardly any power before 3000rpms and the temperature guage doesn't move very much even when the car is hot. A friend of mine who is a service advisor noticed black smoke out the tail pipe when the car is first started. He works at a Saab dealer and told me that a the temp sensor in the engine may be bad. Is this common? And are there any other things that could be making my car run so badly? My gas comsumption has gone way up and the car feels like it is being flooded. If any of you know what could be causing this please let me know.
