Hey I might be of some help for I just bought my first 900 about 7 months ago and did lots of research into this myself. First off, I'm almost possitive that with 900 turbos a sunroof and automatic stuff (ie: windows, Central locking) are standard, as well as leather. I could be wrong on earlier years(i know this isnt true with 87's, my friend has one) but I know this is true with my 91 900t. I would also recommend, like Chip said earlier, that you get a 89 or higher if your looking for more reliable(although no saabs are reliable, 89's and higher have better transmissions and what not) and deffaintly get a manual transmission the automatics are such a bore and steal so much from the performance(and can also go bad much quicker)
Now about the miles, my 91 had 125K on it when I got it and its running great, thats because about 90K of the miles where highway miles. Also, as most people on this board would argue, That c900's dont reach their peakness of soul until after 100K, thats why these cars are great(my goal is to make K+N live up to their million mile warrentee). The 92 you found with 50K is a good find but the miles could be all city miles which can do wonders(bad wonders)to the car. On the other hand, being that its almost 10 years old and it only has 50K on it means that it might have been well taken care of, figure out if the owner is a saab guy and if the car has been dealership or saab specialist maintained.
Lastly, some very common problems to look for, or too see if they have been replaced are: reverse gear(they don't have syncros so depending on level of care they can go sooner or much later), headliners, head gaskets, shot turbos, fuel pumps, water pumps, alternators, whole transmisions(my case)those are just a few of some of the most common problems to look for. You could do some of this depending on your level of mechanical mindedness, but if you do, buy a bentley, I'm only 17 and can do most of the standard stuff, the fear of ruining it is the only thing hard to get over...unless you really are bad with tools. On a final note, if you want a car that will make you want to get up and drive everyday, dont look any further, true they may need a little work but the fun you get is worth it.
