Thanks for the quick reply...
It WAS hot yesterday in Kentucky: probably in the low to mid 80s and muggy, so I'm sure that added to the heat.
No, there wasn't really a lot of hills, some, but nothing major.
I was thinking of bleeding the system myself. The mechanic was very good, but maybe he didn't bleed well.
I was thinking of draining off a little coolant, as it is just a hair above the "max" line on the tank. I was thinking about draining it off to about 1/2 between max and min. Think this will do anything?
Do you think it sounds strange that it's overheating at high speed/high engine RPM, but not at stop and go traffic? Normally, that's were most cars overheat.
I think that after about another 3,000 - 5,000 miles, that I am going to flush the radiator, since it's had so much oil in it. The mechanic flushed everything, but I noticed that there is still traces of that stupid "stop leak" stuff that I put in there before the head gasket blew, so I was just wanting to get all that stuff totally out of the system.
On the plus side, my oil leak is completly gone. Engine is very nice and oil-free now (as some people may remember that I was leaking oil from the head gasket several months ago)
thanks for the help,
Rob
