Sorry, I can't help you much with your questions, though I'm positive that you have no AMM, that the stuck piston refers to warm engine situations (though it may happen in cars that sat for years the gasoline has gummed up and caused the piston to stuck or passages to clog), that you might just try to run the car without the boot (it won't hurt), maybe it'll run, maybe it won't - put it back on later. Gosh, I have no idea why the thing wouldn't run. It idles for five seconds, you say in your other post? And it runs when you lift the flap in the distributor, right? I'd say you might want to check if your return hose is free, but I think it is. Otherwise it wouldn't run at all. Maybe your vacuum isn't all that good. Remember that's what lifts the flap in the distributor. CIS is pretty simple, but there's so little you can do. OK, how about fuses? There's the auxiliary air valve (the copper tube with spring around it underneath the intake manifold) and warm up regulator that need electricity. They keep the car running when it heats up; this might have to do with your situation. You might try to unplug the cold start injector and start with full throttle (in case it doesn't get switched off and drowns the engine).
Anyhow, here's a link on CIS. Forget about the lambda part, you don't have it (unless you can spot the sensor on the exhaust)

Good luck!
