Is there any way to manually lower a power window?

I recently bought an 88 900t cv. The drivers side front window didn't work, the previous owner was fairly sure it was a wiring problem. I've traced the wires and there is power all the way to the connecter just before the door. I've pulled the door interior off but there aren't any connector between the motor and the last connector I found to be ok. The manual says to remove the wire from the regulator. The door must be different on the cv because it is impossible to reach the connector on the regulator. The manual explain how to remove the regulator but it requires removing the bolts the hold the window to the mechanism. Which require the window to be lowered, which is hard if the window doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
