I think that description, which I assume you're reading from Bentley, is for the old style slave, not the new. I wondered about it, too, when I replaced mine. Just install what came in the box; you'll be fine.

Couple things to be aware of: when you remove the special tool from the pressure plate, have a helper slowly push the clutch in while you're tugging on the tool to get it out - to be safe, you just want the clutch pressed in just far enough to let the tool go free. If you use a board or equivalent propped against the pedal and the seat-back and push the pedal all the way in, you could push the slave in too far and blow out its seals.

When bleeding, which you may have to do before you can remove the tool, use a pressure bleed method from the brake fluid reservoir; do your brakes while you're at it :-)
