Anyone tried Turbo ignition in an "S"

Just wondering. The APC and EZK systems are not directly integrated with the FI ECU. Would it be possible to put a Turbo distibutor in an S modelsuch that timming could be manually adjusted and vacuum advanced. THis would of course eliminate the knock sensor. But, if I'm not mistaken the APC system uses the knock sensor for turbo pressure control and the EZK for timing control. Is this possible or just a stupid idea? The reason for asking is that I think more HP can be cranked out of the S without the EZK getting in the way.
