OK, about a year ago when I replaced all the ignition parts in the console, I also replaced the rubber grommet. At the time, it looked fine, but I have been trying to weed out my shifter problems ever since I purchased the car.

As for the reverse actuator, I also tried this as well. I used to have a '83 900T in which you would have to do this each time that you wanted to go into 5th.

The more and more I think about it, the more and more I think that I may be needing a tranny rebuild to fix the problem. But is there anything in the tranny that would make this problem occur? Thanks.
