Hood Issues

First, thanks to everyone's help in getting my car back on the road. I have most of the parts I need to get my 1988 900 Turbo back out there. Still, I am having an issue with one thing - the hood.

I rear-ended someone, and as a result, not only did I bend the cross-piece that the radiator is being supported by (and also where the hood latches), but I also have a dented hood. In the accident, the hood was pushed back, and my question has to do with whether or not I can re-set the hood to where it should be. As it is right now, when I try to open the driver or passenger doors, they catch on the hood. I did notice on the driver's side there is a piece that allows for a prong off the hood to catch. I don't know how best to describe it, but if I'm not mistaken, this piece should prevent the hood from being too far back on the front of the car, where it can catch in the swing of the doors. If any of this makes sense, and someone knows what the piece is that I'm talking about, can you tell me how to fix/replace that piece, and if it's going to make a hill-of-beans difference with the position of the hood. If anyone has a picture of a properly placed hood catch plate thingy (technical term, I know), please let me know. I'd greatly appreciate it.

FYI, I probably will be replacing the hood, and I will be replacing the radiator support bracket, but I wanted to make sure the newer hood wouldn't have the same problem.
