So today I planned on spending an hour and changing my fuel filter(not because it was a code red but because as a Saab ownner I can't leave the damm car alone). So I get to the parts store and they don't have the Bosch, only the Purolaiter. So Okay, I bring the thing home and get started. Old filter is VERY hard to remove, but get that done. Began to install new filter, no new washers, not the end of the world right? Wrong it leakes, so I take it back out and really smooth the faces of the washers and tork the hell out it and KINKED the fuel line! Bad day. Here is my repair, and how long will this last? I cut the line and cleaned it from the banjo bolt and slid the unkinked line back over the banjo bolt. Here is the problem, it would only go on about 2/3 of the way, and I can't find a hose clamp small enough to really clamp it down. Is this safe? Hom much fuel pressure are we talking about? Thanks.
