Well, everyone here is right about the turbo- it is reliable as hell. Mine just went at 240K, and that's about 40K after my mechanic mentioned that the turbo seals were starting to go. I've replaced about everything except the turbo on my car at this point- transmission spline, fuel pump, brake master cylinder, every vacuum hose, the turbo held through all of those. The only reason I think it went was because before I became a DIYer I never knew about letting the turbo cool down- a bad idea when the oil is cooling the turbo. So between that and the weather in CO I'm betting I was pretty hard on my turbo. Buy one with a turbo, you'd be cheating yourself out of a lot of fun if you didn't.
