This is the second T16 I have done it on - my previous one ran stock springs ( not SPG/lower) and stock shocks and the results were more spectacular but it did roll a bit more and it had a tendancy over steer on very tight corners. My present T16 has a much lower and stiffer spring set and slightly uprated ( SPG) shocks and it doesn't roll or oversteer. I have not noticed any reduction in turn in and I would no way put the bar back on. I would also not take it off unless you had good springs and shocks - and if they are original - by now I gaurantee they are shot on a 11year + car! Nor would I put one on if your handling is sloppy - good shocks and springs will sort that out.
A front bar increases the spring rate on the outside corner wheel which helps to counter lean but as soon as you straigten up you unload and this can unsettle the stability when exiting a corner - you will power out of corners much more smoothly without it. Also as you are pushing it ito a corner as the spring rate increases it changes the steering ( understeer) and you have to turn more wheel to keep a line - if you put on or take off the power it changes the loading and thus the rate and thus the steering line - without the bar you can predicatbly hold a line. With the wheels free to move independently they will also track the road much better and you get increased grip. Over rough roads where one wheel may drop or rise it wont upset the other and thet twisting snatchy feel you can sometimes get disapears - as does a lot of clunks. So as you see i can't see much for a front roll bar!
