YES it helped..flat out, that simple. I previously had climbing temps in traffic, hot running (5/8 gauge) on highway and it would really climb if I was climbing a steep hill in the top of 3rd on the highway (a needle width away from red w/ ac off). Once I put the radiator in, it now NEVER goes above 1/2. Even if the AC is on/off, climbing a hill in top of 3rd with ac on, on the hottest day...so far..anything. I run a '82 stat and fam switch. Some say that the 82 switch is too much running the fans too much. But I think that I would much much rather replace a fan whenever it goes out with a junked $15 replacement (80k-135k so far,no problems)
Now, I cut my old radiator in half with a saw, and found that the tubes were somewhat clogged, not really badly just some buildup on all the edges on all the tubes. So I am sure that some of the improvement was from replacing a 11 year old radiator with 125k on it, and also the fact it has 15 more cooling tubes from the top to the bottom.
let me know if you have any other ?'s. JustinHiFi@hotmail.com
