purchased new boge shocks for all around made one attempt to change myself as job theoretically is easy but top bolt frozed shut on both fronts now job sucks and is PITA as shocks need to be cut. PEP Boys to the rescue. (I figured I could trust them with this one) $12 per shock to install only, well worth the dough( they have these air tools that cut shocks like jaws of life). I would also provide my own parts in any area to a mechanic for the simple stuff. Even my saab specialist i would instruct where to get higher end brake pads or buy them myself. Also alot of time when car must go to shop I hand over small jobs with parts that I bought but did not have time to get to such as fuel filter , lower radiator hose etc.
