No quick shifts or "banging" gears. Give the syncros time to work so they don't make metal shavings that will eat the pinion bearing. But hey what do I know, I only got 350,000 miles on the 86 tranny before rust got the car. A SAAB is not a drag racer, but a cruiser. Get on the highway, in 5th and let the turbo do the work.
