I wish someone with a lot of experiance would inform me.
Because as I see it, di electric grease is not suppose to transfer electricity. By stuffing a connector full of it, what keeps it from building a tiny little layer of grease between the male/female contact surfaces.
And the grease will harden with age. Volvo have used it in all their connectors in the beginning of the 90's cars. And by now it's pretty hard.
One experiance I had several years ago was when I took the turnsignal switch apart on my old Oldsmobile. I polished all the surfaces and applied a thin layer of grease all over. A couple of days later when I was doing a turn, it started to smoke from the steering wheel and the turnsignal stopped working. It turned out to be that the grease created a bad contact/barrier.
Cleaning everything again and it kept working for a couple of more years without any grease applied.
