You should look elsewhere for leaks before pulling the engine and splitting the engine/trans apart.
Up until about 1983 it was very common on the 900T beacuse they used a paper gasket instead of sheet metal. When that gasket got old and tired, the turbo boost pushed it out and they where leaking like a siv.
Look carefully at valve cover,cylinderhead and oilpump for leaks first.
Or maybe someone have forgotten to install a couple of bolts in the trans/engine split. Some of those bolt holes on right side goes straight into oilsump.
I have seen the very front/right bolt forgotten many times.
