The Townsend site has the schematic for the radio(link below) bi\ut it does not identify the individual pins of the DIN plug.
If you replaced the head unit, you have already disabled the front amp, as it is built-in to the cage, which you most likely removed.
You can probably solve which pins go to the amp for power and speakers by disassembling the amp, but it is difficult to even get to the amp.
What I did when I recently changed mine, was to use the DIN cable to get to the rear speakers. I cut the plug from the front end of the cable, used the 4 largest leads inside the stripped DIN cable ( I used the copper sheath wrapped around 2 very small leads). I unplugged the rear amp, and cut off the DIN plug there as well, then spliced the cable to the speaker wires from there, avoiding the amp. It doesn't matter which wires you use inside the DIN cable, as long as you are consistent,front to back.
The other way is to run new wires to the back, too much work for me!
