1. The lower screw holding the fan to the radiator is just a post...the fan is slotted and sits on the lower screw. In any case, you still have to pull the fan to pull the radiator.
2. Gas tank lines are disconnected and plugged with whatever you have around..garage filling up with fumes should not be an issue. I've used a bolt or pin and simply clamped them on the line. A banjo bolt can be plugged with some duct tape wrapped around it.
3. Dunno about torx, I've always used a hex/allen wrench. If it IS a torx hole, use a torx bit. An allen wrench hole will have straight sides, even though a torx looks like it fits, it may spin.
4. Griots Garage will calibrate torque wrenches, something like $25USD.
