Only practical way to test an AMM is to swap in a known good one(match part number on AMM).
But you may have other problems caused by the pulled battery wire. I would first check out all your relays: fan, fuel pump, main relay, etc. The bad news is that you may also have fried your ECU. The ECU and related relays are sensitive to jump starting, let alone a pulled battery wire.
If you smelled smoke from the shift console area, you should also pull out the driver's seat and peel up the carpet to inspect the wire harness from the ignition switch up to the bulkhead connector. Excessive current could have melted the ignition wire and adjacent wire insulation causing a short in the harness. With any luck this will not be the case, so don't panic.
