Ditch the +4s for sure. Even Bosch doesn't recommend them for 900Ts! Their reason was something about electrodes breaking off under the cylinder pressures - probably a resonance and fatigue thing. NGKs are the way to go. I've had decent experiences with single-electrode Bosck platinums, too. NGKs give my '89 SPG more power, though.
I looked at Niehoff's website for some info - their site says that the wires have RFI suppression. The only way to be sure is to do an A/B test with Bougicords.
It sounds like your APC solenoid is worn and has clearances that let pressure short circuit around the valve disc. If you have access to pick-n-pull junkyards, you may want to pick up a new used one and give it a try.
