the relay socket J in the fuse box I I checked the socket pins with a meter and dicovered the following,
relay pin
1/86 ground
2/85 12volt trigger when ac is running
4/85a 12volt trigger from fan switch
3//30 ? should be 12volts?
5/87 feed to drivers side cooling fan
Pins 2&3 are isolated by diodes to prevent back feeding to keep ac from coming on everytime the radiator switch calls for the fans to run.
Pins 3&5 are N.O. relay contacts that when they close should turn on the drivers side fan. HERE IS MY PROBLEM MY TERMINAL3/30 NEVER HAS POWER EVEN WITH THE CAR RUNNING AND THE RADIATOR SWITCH CLOSED. SO WHEN THE RELAY CLOSES NO POWER IS GETTING TO THE FAN. ANYONE KNOW WHERE POWER TO THIS TERMINAL COMES FROM? i HAVE CHECKED THE OBVIOUS THE FUSE #25 FOR THE FANS IS GOOD.
