Gordon, looks like my 87 almost. I've been thinking about just finding a nice solid body from california or down south and start the swap. While I'm at it, maybe I'll strip and paint the new body, wet sand the whole thing to my specs, and then begin the swap. I feel your pain about living in the rust belt. I live in upstate New York, and I wonder how Colorado stays so rust-less? It makes me sick to see these california guy complaining that their car is riddled with rust (when what they're talking about is light surface rust type stuff). They have no concept whatsoever of what "cancer" really means. For those of you who are fortunate enough to live in arid climates, "cancer" is when you go to jack up your car by the jack points, and with every pump of the jack, you hear "crunch, crunch crunch", so you pull back the jack, lightly feel around the jack point with your hand, and the floor falls out, and there's a 3" hole, and the jack point is now a pile of orange, moist flaky rust on the ground. Feel fortunate to live in Cali or Aridzona, and think of us here in the northeast next time you're junking a car because it's too "rusty". I'll take it if you're giving it.
