Recently I installed a set of aftermarket fog lights on my car. The way you wired the factory ones didnt work with these so I wired them like the manual I got with the kit showed. They worked great but when I got up the next morning to go to school I had a dead battery. Turns out the the way your suppost to wire them is the wrong way and I left an open circuit all nite. So I pulled out the connections to the fog lamps, jumped the car and drove around for about 5 minutes. Stopped and got gas and it started back up fine. Went on another 10 minute trip to work and when I came out it started back up fine. The drive home took me about 10 minutes and I left the car to idle for a couple minutes. Now this morning I wake up and its not dead but def not enough power to start the car. The battery is about a month old so I dont think that is the problem. The alternator is working since it did charge the battery the nite before. I didnt check the grounds to the alternator but again I think it is working fine. Should I just turn her on and let her sit for awhile? Battery charger? this thing is killing me cause I never know if its gonna start.
