I did a search last nite and followed the directions in this post:

which says:
"I think what you want to do is disconnect the (-) battery cable; connect the red lead to the removed cable, and the black lead to the (-) battery post."
So when i touch the negative meter lead to the negative battery post, aren't i completing the circuit? The above post didn't say anything about disconnecting the positive lead. How is what i did different than what you're saying?
Again, i apologize for my ignorance on this, but if you could explain exactly what i need to do it would be appreciated it (i now have 4 spare fuses since Radio Shack doesn't sell them individually)
