Turbo drivetrain into 900S?

I am purchasing a 90 900 turbo as a parts car to repair the front end bodywork on my 93 900S. I need so many body parts that it is worth buying the whole car.
The parts car I am purchasing has a strong engine, but the manual tranny is shot, my 900S has a newly re-built automatic. Is it possible to replace my 900S motor (and its peripherals) with the motor/exhaust/plumbing and electronics from the Turbo and still use my existing automatic tranny?
