Hi,
The number of times it happened was (freeway: 3 times it died all going 50-60mph) (parked: 2 times both times going into a supermarket for 15minutes and car wouldn't start back up)It would always start back up eventually after trying for 5-10minutes, except today when it started back up running very rough but died after 1 minute and now won't start.
Yes, the tach went to zero before dying on the freeway.
The weather here in Portland Oregon has been warm 65-70 degrees but not hot.
haven't had a tune-up at all other than oil changes since I've had the car (1.5 years), but the car had ran great before this.
Could it possibly be a dirty fuel filter clogged or could old spark plugs really kill the car on the freeway like this? I thought cars could still run if one spark plug was not firing. I'll change spark plugs today but fuel filter, I'll need to get a manual to see if I can do it.
thanks for any more input.
steve
