I owned one and used it for daily tranport, even through Michigan winters. But that was ten years ago. They are wonderful cars in a lot of ways, I just wouldn't recommend one as a daily driver. They'll last a long time, but it would be well worth having a mechainc check it out before you buy. As a weekend/fun car there's nothing that compares and I think they are well on their way to becoming a true classic. Now is the time to buy one, before the prices start going up.
