are they all tight? by the way, was tearing the front suspension out of my 86 notchback last week and upon loosening the bolts holding the upper a-arm to the shock tower, one of them was completely loose, so you may want to snake a wrench down (or up)there and check them for tightness.
I cant imagine replacing the a-arm bushings will soak up much more of the bumpiness. id think the shocks and springs would have more to do with it. You just put heavy duty springs in your car, no? that might be part of the problem. did you check the specs on the springs first?
I have Konis in my 87 SPG and the car is not dramatically better on rough roads, but i havent changed the setting (yet).
i think they call it 'road feel' rather than 'bad ride'.
