Cold Idle Problems - NTC Sensor? Posted by iveand [Email] (#3155) [Profile/Gallery] (more from iveand) on Tue, 31 Aug 2004 10:14:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Finally got the brakes re-worked on my "inherited" $65 95 16V 900T. Next issue: when cold (for approx 2 or 3 minutes), it surges, drops and kills, unless you keep goosing the gas. After warmed up, it will idle fine. Have checked/cleaned IAC and checked for vacuum leaks. But both of these things would seem to lead to continual idle problems, not just when cold.
I just read about the NTC Sensor between cylinders 2 and 3. Is this something I should just change out (since it is fairly inexpensive)? This is my first C900, after getting to know a 96 NG900 fairly well over the past year and a half. What else should I look at? Again, I believe the key here to be that it is only while cold that I have the problems. After warmed up, I can let it sit for an hour, come back, and it will start up and idle just fine.
thanks for you help
