Fuel, Spark, Still no start? Any ideas?

I have been trying to get it to work for 3 weeks. 87 16V Turbo died while running fine except for a bad 'hooter valve'. The car would not restart. I had to get it towed home. After it would set a day or two it would restart and idle fine but when I would try to accelerate the APC solenoid would chatter and it would die. It would not restart until possibly the next day. Lately, I have not been able to start it at all even if I wait a day or two. I have done many Bentley and Townsend 'no start' tests and spents many hours on previous posts - but no luck. I checked all vacuum hoses and Turbo plumbing for leaks. I have switched many parts from my working 88 Turbo, APC box, Hall amplifier, AIC, Distributor cap, wires and plugs - still no run. Yesterday, I confirmed it had fuel coming out of injectors and spark with a timing light. It still would not start. I checked one cylinder for compression. I was afraid to check more than one because the Bentley says it should be done by the shop. It did not explain further.
I read one post that said you could have a bad Hall effect sensor in your distributor but still have spark. Is this true? If I have fuel, spark, and good compression why won't it run? Any ideas?
