I didn't see it listed in your post, but you need to know more than IF there is spark, that in fact it is firing #1 at the correct rotational position. I have seen some crazy things in 25 yrs. of car wrenching, but the most frustrating has to be spark & fuel but no running. Make sure the timing mark is coming up at around 14-16 degrees on your flywheel, thru the access hole. You can get this reading even without the engine running if you have a friend crank while you fire the light into the window above the flywheel, just below the AIC controller. Remove the small black plastic window cover (hoses will be in the way).
You must see if #1 is firing ontime; you could have an electronics problem in the distributor/control that is causing random firing of the spark to all cylinders.
