Having owned five Saab convertibles, and at the moment having no other cars other than my two convertibles, I don't even think about it. The standard mirrors are more than sufficient to see eveything you need to see--although the over the right shoulder look is a waste. The trick when making your way through heavy traffic is to use the mirors to keep constant track of the cars around you--something you should do anyway. I have more of a problem seeing traffic lights and have to make sure I don't stop tot close to them.
