Would pulling relays also indicate where the loss is from? If I was more familiar with the elec system I'd know that, but I'm not. Keep in mind that there's a clock in the dash which draws constant power. You might want to disconnect that for your further testing. What about if a cigarette lighter is pushed in while the car is idle? Would the rear window defroster drain thebattery like that? Regarding the VR, yes it isn't fun to access. The only luck I've had is after removing stuff. Perhaps the coolant reservior tank is a start (of course you'll have to drain the radiator).
