Have a 1991 Saab 900i (non turbo) manual transmission.
Problem is that it will not start straight away. If you leave the starter motor on for long periods of time it still will not start. Only way i discovered was to have 4 to 5 very short bursts on the starter motor then it will start immediately on the 5th or 6th turn. After starting there is no problems. This happens when the engine is cold or hot regardless.
Have checked for vacuum leaks, cleaned out and tested the AIC, replaced hall effect sensor, replaced Oxygen sensor, checked the eater temperature sensor near the manifold, checked the throttle sensor for operation. This model does not have the cold start injector at the throttle body.
Any ideas anyone?
