When I did it, I was disappointed. Yes, the car revs easier in neutral and it spins down faster for double-clutching -- I like that because I love to drive in a spirited manner. But, as I mentioned, the lag is a bit more pronounced. The car is not faster. The butt-dyno registered the same feeling as $150 draining out of my wallet.
Now, honestly, I did it twice, but the second time I did it was on my project car that I autocross and have to downshift very fast (while speeds are lower than on a track, things happen *much* faster on an autox course). I'm also using a higher compression engine with a small TE05 turbo, so lag isn't a big consideration. The cost was less than half of 150 that time. It does not make the car faster, but it does drop revs quickly.
If you want to spend money, spend it on something like stainless braided brake lines. They won't stop you faster, but the feel is better and if you are on the stock hoses, a new set will feel especially nice. Group 9 sells sets that are less than stock aftermarket rubber kits. Or put it toward water injection. Or whatever you want; $150 will buy a lot of beer... :-) But it won't make your car faster if you spend it on a machined flywheel.
