Just trying to get this 92 900T on the road. The idle has a bunch of different problems and there are some driveabilty issues. First I would like to mention that all the vacuum lines, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor are all new. I had done a bunch on work with the engine out of the car, new transmission, headgasket, seals, resurfacing flywheel, etc...Glad it starts for me right up. However, sometimes when I goto just get in and start the starter spins without cranking engine. And I have to keep going back and forth till it will grab the flywheel and start. As far as idle, sometimes its just perfect, sometimes its real high, and most recently after I drive it then come to stop, the idle was basically at 0 and the engine was just barly chugging along, then I pressed the gas and now the car spikes from 1700-2000rpms very fast like. Down, up, down, up real quick. The APC, mind you only sometimes, chatters all crazy, it goes away with press of brake pedal (however I really dont beleive that its the pressure switch under dash, it only chatters when its running all rough like now). There was some engine shaking, vibration, when I was trying to accerlate at like 35-50mph. The turbo was boosting more than base boost but nothing really feels right if you know what I mean. I am sure I have a combination of many probs but was wondering if anyone had any insight. I have already swapped AMM and that made it start better. The car likes to start right up but I do have to push the gas in half for a second to make it go. Sorry for the rambling. Hopefully I can get this going right. At the momments when it idles fairly well the car sounds really nice. I canr wait to get this on the road. Would to large of a battery be causing these probs? Temporality I have a pretty beffy battery that barly fits.
