There are three sheet metal freeze plugs on the exhaust side of the block. Look under the exhaust manifold with a flashlight. You might need a chiropractor afterwards from trying to contort yourself so you can see all the plugs but you might get lucky and find a telltale trail.

I couldn't figure out where my coolant was going until I found one leaking near the timing cover. You wouldn't know unless you really went looking.
