Clutch drags after replacement

I replaced my clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder, and throw-out bearing this weekend.
It took forever and now its worse off than it was!
The clutch seems to not be fully disengaging; holding it all the way to the floor, I can't smoothly move the shifter between the gears. And as you can immagine, the non-synchronized reverse isnt too much fun.
The visible range of motion of the slave cylinder seems adequit and the pedal does not feel spongy. While holding the clutch, the clutch friction disk can be moved around with a screwdriver (its not tight against the flywheel)
holding the clutch down in 1st gear with the car stopped on level ground does not cause it to creep forward, so it must just barely be dragging. The clutch also grabs super low, but this is as expected for this problem.
What can I do about this?
I inspected the parts before I replaced them and everything looked the same. The pressure plate was a slightly different style and the clutch disk had a bit more surface area.
I've bled the clutch countless times, thinking that had to be the problem, but it never helped. I didnt have a pressure bleeder (as the bently said to use) so I used a mighty vac on the bleeder nipple. I was able to pull lots of fluid through the system.
As a last ditch effort I used a section of hose on the brake fluid resivoir and tried blowing on it myself (to pressurize) it didn't work all to well, but I was able to get some more fluid through.
I keep hoping it just has to wear in a bit, but I drove it for an hour last night and nothing changed. What do you think?
thanks for all your help.
