Fool them at the dealer's lots. Bob Lutz, GM CEO, is a smart enough guy to know it's not a good strategy to attract Saabers. Look at his quotes in the article RE: the 9-2X. I think he calls it "almost Saab-like" or something. And he surely knows that there's no way to make a pick-up truck handle like a Saab. No matter where the ignition is, and regardless of how much you toy with the suspension. I don't think they're after us, anyway. SUV's are already a money maker for the U.S. auto industry because the mark-up is much better than on passenger cars. The R&D for this Trailblazer thing is long-gone too. It's likely already recouped. They're just trying to make an already profitable pig of a vehicle even more profitable by attracting the same sorts of people who buy the Infiniti SUV over the Nissan because it's got more chrome colored plastic and more leather.
