and a Saab enthusiast (pre-GM) I concur with you completely. After viewing the 9-7X SUV at the Detroit Auto Show my impression was that it is just a dressed up version of my Trailblazer. As far as SUV's go the Trailblazer rides nice, handles nice, etc. and a Saabification would not in my opinion offer anything other than a higher price and the privelege of having another Saab in the driveway. But when I felt the perceived need for an SUV last summer and Saab didn't have one yet and when I coupled this with the fact that I knew it would cost so much more wearing a Saab bagdge I went out and bought the Trailblazer.

But my '83 900 turbo is still my daily driver!!! (Nearly double the fuel economy, too.)
