Worn inner tie rod end

I took my car on a 1300km road trip last weekend and the front tires suffered a lot of wear. Turns out the drivers side inner tie rod is worn. I was only there for a week and didn't have time to fix it or get it fixed, so I drove back with it. Now I'm wondering if I should replace the whole rack as well. I know there is at least one other issue with the steering but I think it's in the column U-joint. Any suggestions? TIA
