It might be that your 84 is not retrofitted with a tray Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Fri, 11 Mar 2005 21:21:33 In Reply to: Air-cond water flooding the floor, Matthew Lim, Fri, 11 Mar 2005 17:25:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
In 85 (or 86) they installed a second tray under A/C evaporator and drilled a hole through the right inner fender to lead condens water out that was created by the evaporator.
This tray was also being retrofitted on the 84 and older cars.
Your car might have slipped through the cracks back then.
It could also be that the big drain out from the evaporator is clogged and therefore the evaporator is flooding the compartment.
If you look in behind the back of right front wheel you should have two hoses coming out from the inner fender. One big hose and one small.
Also open the hood and look down into the fresh air intake to see if it is a lot of dirt and leaves in the evaposrator compartment clogging the big hose.
