I believe SAAB installed the coolant lines to the tb to prevent icing. If you search the archiives there is a lot said on this subject. Maybe search coolant bypass, throttle body. Since it never gets that cold here I rerouted those hoses on my '86 and '89 SPG and have been driving around like that for years with no ill effects. Many people have done this its pretty common.
