hello all - i'm swapping a 5spd into an 88 900 and am using the transmission from what i thought was an 86. i have a new clutch slave, part no 47 76 308, which the epc says is the correct part for all 86+ 900s. but it doesn't fit. the bolt holes do not line up with the trans case, and while the new slave has a seal that would go around the clutch shaft, the old one does not. also the new slave seems like it might not fit into the recess in the trans cover - does this make sense to anyone? is there a pre-86 slave cylinder with a different design? my epc does not have years prior to 86... or am i completely deranged? thanks!
