Might be a good idea to have an extra good 8-pin switch, with light, to do it on. Make sure it's a good switch first. Nothing mystical!

All I do is remove the top rocker part carefully. Note where the pin needs to be located and how far it projects out. Then cut the 1/8" pin from one end of the rocker. Then I install a fabricated pin into the opposite end of the rocker. I use a simple piece of "common pin", or something like that to get a new pin. I use a little tiny "pin-drill" to drill a hole into the new end of the rocker. I don't drill the hole deep enough to go thru the top of the rocker, and I drill it small enough to have a little "friction-fit". Then I use a cyano-acrylate glue to glue the new pin into place. I get good cyano-acrylate (super glue) from a model crafts store, by buying "Insta-Cure +", a gap-filling super glue (they have 3-5 different formulae of super-glue at model train stores usually). After it sets for an hour or so, you're ready to go. I've never had any success with the super-glue you can buy in most stores, but the modeling stuff is great!

That hour gives you time to remove the door panel and simply unplug and switch the leads to the window motor, which reverses its normal operation. Need any lubrication while you're there?

Back to the switch - All I do then is make sure the switch guts innards are all in place, ready to go. Then rotate the rocker top 180 degrees so the new pin will go thru the old hole in the switch. Carefully snap the switch back together, reinstall it, and you're all done. See if it feels right.

No relays, no wiring, don't worry about damaging the relay, or anything else. The "extra click" has operated in the 6 or 7 I've modified, and I've not had a problem. The rocker works just like it should, but has no AUTO DOWN any more, just AUTO UP! And the rocker picture(s) are in the right locations.

Don't know if it will work on passengers side. Does the female plug (from car harness) to the pass. switch have 8 electrical contacts in it?

This mod. is pretty easy, and works great! Maybe leave the new pin a little long to start with. You can always shorten it after it's glued in place.
